"Ripple Jade" is a beautiful succulent in the stonecrop family that takes the traditionally smooth, shiny green leaves of the Jade Plant and turns them all wavy and rippled; they are oval and twisted and blue-gray in color with darker green dots and purple leaf margins. Best grown as a house plant in North Carolina as it is not cold hardy, it can grow to almost four feet tall so provide a large enough container to avoid having to repot frequently. Like other Jade Plants, "Ripple Jade" normally has to be stressed in some way in order for it to bloom (but if it does, enjoy the white, star shaped blooms). Providing bright light will keep it from stretching like most succulents and only water when it has dried out. Easily propagated by leaves or stem cuttings, if using cuttings be sure to let dry a day or two before planting.
