LSU Gold is a rather large fig and yet another introduction from Louisiana State University. This very nice yellow skinned fig has light red to pinkish pulp that is quite tasty. LSU Gold has an open eye when it matures, so attention must be observed when, harvesting must to avoid any spoilage. , LSU Gold has excellent eating qualities and works equally well eaten fresh or preserved and pears well with soft cheeses and fresh apples or grapes.
